Employer Advisory Committees

To ensure that TATC programs provide training that meets the needs of local businesses, the College has Employer Advisory Committees (EACs) that review all TATC programs. The EACs advise the College about changes or improvements that help keep the programs current and relevant in today's workplace.

Powers and Responsibilities

TATC Employer Advisory Committees are charged with the responsibility to:

  • Evaluate class competencies based on industry needs
  • Observe classes and complete a feedback form with recommendations
  • Attend committee meetings to discuss:
    • Curriculum materials, teaching aids and equipment
    • New technology developing in the field
    • Possible program improvements
    • Work-based activities
    • Donations of materials, equipment, or funding

Committee Organization

TATC is in the process of establishing Employer Advisory Committees for every division and program offered. Each EAC will be composed of individuals (managers, supervisors, business owners, and line workers) who have current industry experience, are practicing in their field of expertise, and are willing to share their time and expertise.
